YouTube Cryptocurrency Scam
It has been found that scammers are now running a new type of scam campaign. They show pre-recorded live conversation videos of crypto-hyped celebrities like Elon Musk as live videos on YouTube.
and either include a QR code or a link to a cryptocurrency wallet in the video or in the description. It claims that if the viewer pays an amount of the crypto currency to that wallet number, they will double it. The QR code redirects the user to a crypto payment page or a fake website where the victim can see the fake terms and conditions and the payment rules to double the money.
Many victims paid an amount on the QR code out of greed. and the amount does not get returned. They were also displaying a Fake Payment Dashboard to trick the visitors.
These things are spread by some fake YouTube channels, which have a few thousand subscribers.
These streams last for several hours to target more victims. So it has been advised not to fall for such scams, and if anyone gives you such offers, you should avoid them.
